December 7th was a beautiful day for the Annual Nelson County Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade. This year, the theme was “A CHRISTMAS STORY”. The grand Marshall for the parade was Relay For Life of Nelson County.

Second Place: Tuckahoe School
Marching Unit – Best Formation:
First Place: Nelson County High School Marching Governors
Second Place: Amherst County Dance Academy
Marching Unit – Most Entertaining:
First Place: Cub Scout Pack 32, Piney River
Second Place: Nelson County High School Cheer Squad
Antique Vehicle – Best of Show: Nelson County Cable
Fire Unit – Best of Show: Gladstone Volunteer Fire Dept. Truck # 2
Rescue Unit – Best of Show: Roseland Rescue Squad
Judges’ Choice Award: Bethany United Methodist Church
Organizers’ Appreciation Award: Monk Mays – Monk was recognized for volunteering his time and equipment for many years. He works behind the scenes to ensure all parade participants make it down Front Street.
Hot Dogs, etc. were available from the Lovingston Ruritan Club.
Living Word Christian Fellowship served Brunswick Stew & Hot Chocolate.
